Nu Angle Orthodontics is a specialist orthodontic practice. We provide personalised orthodontic treatment to create beautiful smiles and functional outcomes for every patient.

Our mission is to provide all our patients, whether adult, adolescent or child with the highest standard of care in a relaxed and friendly environment.

The origin of our name comes from the father of orthodontics, Edward Angle (June 1, 1855 - August 11, 1930). Our name not only expresses our sincere admiration for the founder of orthodontics but also our commitment to ensuring that the latest advances in the specialty are used at Nu Angle Orthodontics.

Available Orthodontic Treatments:

Modern orthodontic approaches used at Nu Angle Orthodontics include:

1. Edgewise appliances (conventional braces both metal and aesthetic clear braces)
2. Invisalign (clear plastic aligners used to straighten teeth in selected cases)
3. Lingual orthodontics (invisible braces on the inside surface of teeth)
4. Removable appliances (removable plates that allow simple tooth movement)
5. Orthopaedic appliances (appliances used in growing patients who have jaw discrepancies.  This can prevent the need for more complex orthodontics or surgery later in life)
6. Surgical orthodontics (combining orthodontics and orthoganthic surgery for patient with severe jaw and facial discrepancies )
7. Adult Orthodontics
8. Multidisciplinary treatment planning (complex problems that involve other treatment specialist in a team approach)

Our Orthodontist:

Dr Andy TJ Wu
Specialist Orthodontist
BDS Hons(Syd), DCD(Orthodontics)(Syd), MRACDS(Orthodontics)

Dr Wu graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Sydney with first class honours and was awarded numerous academic and clinical prizes throughout the five years of his degree.  After graduation, whilst working as a general dentist, Dr Wu was also invited to teach and lecture at the University of Sydney, Australian Society of Implant Dentistry and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (NSW Branch).  In the same year, he completed the Primary Examination for admission to the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons with commendations. 

Shortly after this, Dr Wu followed his passion in orthodontics and completed his three years specialist orthodontic training at the University of Sydney.  At the same time, he successfully obtained membership into the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.

Dr Wu utilises the latest scientific advances in the specialty so that all his patients, whether adult, adolescence or children receive the best treatment and most successful outcome.  To ensure this high level of service and successful outcome, every patient is treated personally by Dr Wu at every visit.

Dr Wu believes a successful orthodontic outcome involves your dentist throughout the entire treatment process.  Dr Wu will work closely with your dentist to achieve a beautiful smile and a healthy functional dentition.

Referral Method:

Although most patients are referred by their dentists, a formal referral is not required.  Many of our patients are referred by family and friends. We will be happy to discuss any orthodontic concerns you have about your teeth with you.
